How to undelete photos?

This is from some forum, a guy named Kevin said, "After Christmas, I had many pictures from several events at different family functions. In my rush to get everything transferred to several different folders on my desktop, I missed some of the pictures when making the transfers. I then deleted all the files on the SD card. When one of our family members asked for the pictures, I realized my mistake! What can I do about it? Can I undelete photos?"

These things happen all the time. We may make the same mistake as Kevin or we may just accidentally hit the erase button on digital camera. It's terrible but fortunately you can undelete these photos from camera or PC generally.

The reason why you can undelete photo from camera or PC is, when you delete a photo, it will no longer be listed on your PC hard drive or camera memory card, but in fact it is still there and can be undeleted. It simply marks the space where the deleted file located as available for immediate use. So as long as the space hasn't been overwritten, your photos can be saved.

Following is a step to step guide on how to undelete photos using Wondershare Photo Recovery.

Step 1: Have the camera memory card plugged into your computer. Or have the drive on which you want to recover attached to a computer with an operating system.

Step 2: Download and install the free version of Wondershare Photo Recovery. Don't forget that you need to install it someplace other than the drive that you want to undelete photos.

Step 3: Start Wondershare Photo Recovery, select the disk you want to recover in the left list and click "NEXT" to start the automatic scanning process.

Step 4: Now you get a list of all recoverable photos. Choose the ones you want to undelete and click "NEXT".

Step 5: Select a folder to store the recovered photos. Click "NEXT" and the photos would be undeleted successfully.

Tips: To get a better chance to undelete photos, you need to stop using the computer disk or camera card once you find you have mistakenly deleted photos.
