How to Format a Hard Drive under Microsoft Windows?
Under Microsoft Windows, you can use the "format" command to format a drive, just like in DOS.
Alternatively, you can format a drive through the GUI by following these steps:
Click the <Start> button.
Click <My Computer>.
Highlight the drive you wish to format.
Click the right mouse button to bring up a menu.
Select <Format>.
