What is iPhone?

iPhone is a combination camera phone, PDA, multimedia player, and wireless communication device made by Apple Inc. in 2007. It has functions as a camera phone (also including text messaging and visual voicemail), a portable media player (equivalent to a video iPod), and an Internet client (with e-mail, web browsing, and Wi-Fi connectivity)—using the phone's multi-touch screen to provide a virtual keyboard in lieu of a physical keyboard. Apple's iPhone popularized the use of touch screens as a primary interface for a mobile phone, but Apple Inc. was not the first company to release a product called an iPhone.
